'CABARET'
At 7.30 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of next week, 9th-11th March, the Hall will be resounding to the sounds of 'Cabaret'. This musical played to packed houses across the world when it was first performed and was filmed with Liza Minelli in the leading role. It tells the story, both hilarious and poignant, of life in a decadent Germany before the rise of Nazism. The enigmatic and charismatic Master of Ceremonies takes us through the trials and tribulations of a diverse range of characters, including Ernst Ludwig, sally Bowles, Cliff Bradshaw, Fraulein Schneider, Herr Schultz- and a gorilla! There are great songs and great dances, with the performers being backed by a fantastic band. CNS produces great musicals (remember 'West Side Story' and 'The Threepenny Opera'), so this is a 'must see' production. Book now to avoid disappointment- tickets, price £4 are on sale in the Hall from 1.00 pm during lunch breaks.

RESEARCH
The school is involved in the Norwich Area Schools Consortium project, which is looking at a number of aspects of teaching and learning. Part of the project involves the gaining of students' views on teaching and learning and next Monday a UEA researcher will be interviewing a sample of students. Mr Burns will be making the arrangements for the interviews.

CHARITIES WEEK
Completed entries for the 'Guess the Teacher's Hand' competition should be given to Mr Binney today, Friday 3rd March. Sponsorship money and any other money from sales or events should be handed in to the Finance Office as soon as possible. Please make sure you complete a paying-in slip.
MENINGITIS IMMUNISATION
Immunisations will take place in school next Wednesday, 8th March, and next Thursday, 9th March. Letters and information were issued to students on Tuesday of this week. All consent forms should have been returned (Monday is the very latest opportunity to do so) and an appointment time will be given via Form Tutors. Students in Years 11, 12 and 13 who have not been immunised will be included in the schedule but must fill in a new consent form. Please remember: no consent form, no immunisation!

SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
On Tuesday 14th March at 7.30 pm, the School Association is organising a meeting for parents at which a police officer will be giving information and advice about drug abuse. The Association believes that all parents should be concerned about this issue and hopes that there will be a good attendance at the meeting. Next week's Echo will contain further information. And a date for your diary: the next Quiz Evening will be on Saturday 18th March.

SAFETY
The School Hall is being prepared for next week's production and the set is in place. Both in the Hall and on the balcony there are safety hazards. Students should keep away from any production equipment and show good sense in their movement about the Hall area.

WORLDWISE QUIZ
The CNS Worldwise Quiz team will be competing in the regional finals of this national quiz in Cambridge next Thursday evening. Good luck to the members of the team who are already Norfolk champions! The winners of the regional round will compete in the national finals in April.
