HALF TERM HOLIDAY
The half term holiday begins after school next Friday, 26th May. School resumes at 8.45 am on Monday 5th June.

EXAMINATIONS
Written examinations at both A level and GCSE begin for Year 13 and Year 11 next week and continue after the half term break. Most exams take place in the Sports Hall, gym and some mobile classrooms and students in other year groups are asked to make sure that they are not noisy in the vicinity of any exam room. Best wishes to all Year 13 students for their coming examinations!

WEDNESDAY 24TH MAY
The Y8 and Y9 Chamber Concert, due to take place next Wednesday, has been postponed. However, there are three other events that evening. The exhibition of Year 11 students' work which is being arranged at the moment in the Hall will be open to visitors from 6.30 pm until 8.30 pm. Parents of students whose work is displayed have received an invitation to attend, as have some guests, but anybody is welcome to come to see what is an excellent show.

At 5.30 pm in the Sixth Form Area, parents of Year 9 students have the opportunity to find out about an information technology initiative which will be available to students next year. A letter was issued yesterday giving details of the meeting and the proposal.

And at 7.30 pm, in Room 2, Mr Banfield will be meeting the families who will be acting as hosts for the Belarus children who are coming to CNS next month.
SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
The 50/50 Auction, held last Saturday, raised the grand sum of £617. The Association would like to thank everyone who donated items to the sale but particular thanks to Anne Roderick for all her hard work in organising and running the Auction. This week the committee is turning its attention to the major event of the year, the School Fete on Saturday 24th June. The Lord Mayor will open the Fete and will also be welcoming the children from Belarus on their first day in Norwich.

GOVERNORS' AGM WITH PARENTS
The Governors' Annual Meeting with Parents takes place next Thursday, 25th May at 7.30 pm in the Sixth Form Common Room. Students were issued with copies of the annual report and the agenda for the meeting last week to take home to parents. Among the range of issues on the agenda, Governors will share with parents their particular concerns on matters relating to accommodation. Don't forget that Mr Gordon Boyd, Headteacher from September, will be attending the meeting.

BADMINTON
Congratulations to Charity Barnes of 9Bs who played for the winning England U15 team in the Home Countries Quadrangular International Tournament in Scotland at the end of April. Charity also played for the Norfolk U17 squad which competed in an inter-county event in Nottingham before Easter.
