CHANGE OF SCHOOL DAY
From September, there will be alterations to the pattern of the school day. The proposed changes have arisen from the need to provide a four subject timetable for students taking A level in Year 12: the extension of the curriculum is a national initiative but has not been accompanied by an increase in accommodation or serious funding. The overall time frame of the school day will remain substantially unaltered so that parents will not have to alter any current arrangements they have made to deliver and collect their children from school. A full letter of explanation, containing all the details of the arrangements, will be issued next Friday, 16th June.

EXAMS
Written examinations for Years 8, 9, 10 and 12 continue until the end of next week, alongside A levels and GCSEs which are taking place in the Sports Hall, Gym and, on occasions, in adjacent classrooms. Arrangements are complicated and require students in all year groups to be aware of their exam timetable and of room changes. Exams started on Thursday and have run smoothly so far- keep it up throughout next week!

MILLENNIUM ANTHOLOGY
On the Friday before half-term, students were issued with a letter from Miss O'Brien, inviting parents to order advance copies of the CNS millennium anthology, made up of a selection of poems which have appeared in the school magazines from 1911 until 2000, with illustrations by former student, Louise Daykin. The price is £3 (more if you wish) and we expect the project to be featured in the Evening News in the near future.
SCHOOL FETE
Details of the Fete on Saturday 24th June are printed on the back of this copy of the Echo. The Association Committee is still eager to hear from anyone who can help with the setting up of the Fete or the running of a stall and is still open to suggestions and ideas as to what might be included. The Fete will be opened by the Lord Mayor of Norwich who will be welcoming our guests from Belarus to the city.

ART EXHIBITIONS
The exhibition of Year 11 students' work which was on display in the Hall has been taken down to allow Year 13 A level students to show their work. We are very pleased that all students have been able to admire the high quality of work in the main area of the school and congratulate the Art Department on raising the profile of the subject this year. Parents are invited to see the exhibition on Friday evening of next week, 16th June.

Also in the Hall, on the stage, there will be an exhibition of work commissioned from students at Norwich School of Art, made possible by a generous donation from the parents of three former CNS students. The work, which uses aspects of the main building as a stimulus for interpretation, will belong to the school and will be on permanent display after the exhibition.

'CABARET' VIDEO
Anybody who would like a video of the show should bring £4 to the Drama Office at breaks or lunchtimes. A receipt will be issued and a copy will be ordered. The deadline for payments is next Friday, 16th June. A note will be put on the Drama board telling students when the videos will be available for collection.
