TRAINING DAY
Next Thursday, 29th June, will be a staff training day and a holiday for all students.

BELARUS VISITORS
The ten children from Belarus arrive at CNS this afternoon: they are expected at about 5.00 pm and will meet their host families. Their official welcome to Norwich will be offered by the Lord Mayor tomorrow at the opening of the Fete at 2.00 pm. They will be in school for some time next week, taking part in Art, Computing, Music and Technology lessons as well as going out next week on trips to various attractions in Norfolk.

The £7000 raised in Charities Week is going to make a significant impact on their lives. The four-week stay in Norwich with fresh air and good food will prolong their lives by up to two years.

SCHOOLDAY
Last Friday, all parents should have received details of the changes to the school day which will occur in September.

There have been questions about the 'supervised activities' on offer on the short days, Wednesdays and Fridays. We can guarantee a homework club which will allow students to study in quiet condition and also use of the computer rooms. There will be the usual range of after-school opportunities in activities such as music and sport. This offer of supervised activities was designed primarily for parents who have to make arrangements to collect their children by car from school and who have set their own work patterns around the time-frame of the school day.

FOR SALE
Beginners' bass guitar including amp, case and two free lessons: £100. Contact Nathan Ray of 12 Wi or ring 01603 617574.
SCHOOL FETE
The Fete takes place tomorrow, Saturday 24th June, from 2.00 pm until 4.30 pm, with the official opening by the Lord Mayor at 2.00 pm. Make sure you come: it is always an excellent afternoon with things to buy, games to play and entertainments to watch.

If you are able to bring in any items such as cakes and plants on Saturday morning, these will be most welcome, as will your willingness to help set up stalls. The committee will be at school as from 9.30 am.

SUMMER CONCERT
The final concert of the school year takes place next Friday, 30th June, at 7.30 pm in the Hall. As always the programme is lively and varied, with jazz, salsa and classical items and featuring the orchestras, wind ensembles and jazz and guitar groups. As is traditional, the second half gives solo opportunities to stalwarts of the music scene at CNS from Years 1 1 and 13 who are leaving the school this term.

Admission is by programme, price £3, available from the Office or the Music Department prior to the concert or at the door on the night.

MENINGITIS IMMUNISATIONS
The 'catch up' immunisations take place at school on Wednesday 5th July. All students who were issued with consent forms should return these to the school office. No form, no immunisation!

Year 10 students who will be on work experience will be sent a letter with information on 'catch up' opportunities at the Colman Road clinic.

LIBRARY
All items on loan from the Library should be returned on or before Friday 30th June for the annual stock check.
