SIXTH FORM INDUCTION
The induction course for students intending to join Year 12 next September runs for three days, beginning next Monday, 3rd July. A special programme of lessons and activities has been devised for the students, many of whom will be from schools other than CNS.

YEAR 10
All Year 10 students begin their fortnight's work experience next Monday, 3rd July. We are certain that students gain great benefit from this opportunity and hope that this year's students will maintain the splendid reputation which their predecessors have achieved in the many businesses which take student placements. All students will be visited by a member of staff during the fortnight.

HOLT HALL VISIT
Next week students involved in the Year 9 Key Skills course will be spending three days at Holt Hall, the county's Field Study Centre. One party will be leaving on Monday and the other on Wednesday. The activities will be arranged by the staff at the Centre and involve challenging tasks which draw on initiative and teamwork.

BELARUS VISITORS
Our visitors from Belarus have settled in very well and are enjoying their time in Norwich. They were welcomed by the Lord Mayor last Saturday at the Fete, visited Holkham beach on Sunday and have spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at CNS taking various lessons.

More trips and visits will take place throughout their stay. Thanks again to the host families who are contributing so much to these young people's lives.
SCHOOL FETE
Thanks to all who attended last Saturday's Fete. We avoided the rain in the afternoon and, although it was somewhat cool, many people came to enjoy all the attractions. The Fete was opened by the Lord Mayor of Norwich.

The Association Committee has yet to declare the final sum raised by the Fete but we believe the money gained is more than in recent years. Thanks to all those who organised the Fete and helped before, during and after the show.

SUMMER CONCERT
The final concert of the school year takes place this evening Friday, 30th June, at 7.30 pm in the Hall. As always the programme is lively and varied, with jazz, salsa and classical items and featuring the orchestras, wind ensembles and jazz and guitar groups.

As is traditional, the second half gives solo opportunities to stalwarts of the music scene at CNS from Years 11 and 13 who are leaving the school this term. Admission is by programme, price £3, available at the door.

FRANCE AND BACK IN 24 HOURS
At 2.30 am last Friday, a party of forty three students and six teachers (Mr Stone, Mrs Simpson, Miss Johnson, Miss Wind, Miss Letondeur and Mr Kreft) left CNS by coach for Boulogne.

After crossing the channel by ferry, the party visited the market at Wimereux en route for Boulogne, where the old town and the Sea Life Centre were the main attractions. En route for the ferry there was a stop at Cite Europe in Calais for some shopping. The coach arrived back at CNS at 1.10 am on Saturday morning, with a tired but happy bunch of explorers determined to catch up on sleep over the weekend!
