RAFFLE PRIZES
Any prizes for the Quiz Evening on 25th November or for the Christmas Show on 30th November and 1st December would be gratefully received. Please leave these in the School Office.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT
The date of the Christmas Concert has been changed to Wednesday 13th December. This is in order to avoid a clash with a special event that evening at Avenue Middle School. Further details about our concert will be available shortly.

BUILDING WORK
In order that we can include a broad range of students in our curriculum, lifts are being fitted to enable wheelchair access to the upper floors of the school. Although the work will take place out-with teaching time, there will be inevitable disturbance to the normal routines of school life. Students are asked to follow instructions about restricted access in order that the work can be completed as quickly and safely as possible. We hope that the projects will be complete by the early Spring.
POETRY COMPETITION
We are delighted to learn that Michael Palmer in Year 10 is the winner in a local competition organised by Norwich library. Michael collected his prize at the library on October 30th at a special presentation held for all prizewinners. His poem will be on display in the library until 18th November.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION
A new venture between CNS and Norfolk's Adult Education Service started last weekend. Using our excellent ICT facilities, we are able to offer groups of adult students classes in various aspects of Information Technology. A particularly popular new course enables students to explore and refine their skills in using the Internet. We look forward to this kind of collaboration developing in the future. Full details of Adult Classes can be obtained from Angela Grice at the Adult Education Office, telephone 01603 504031.

CHILD EMPLOYMENT
We have received a reminder from Norfolk Pupil Attendance Service about Child Employment. Very clear guidelines exist about this. No child under 13 may be employed at all. Children aged between 13 and 16 who are employed need to have a valid Employment Permit obtained by the employer from the County Council. Further details from Norfolk Pupil Attendance Service Telephone 01692 402894.

REMEMBER ….
This week, all students have participated in acts of remembrance during Assembly time. Through the use of words, music and images, we remember all those who sacrificed so much in order that we may live in peace.
