BID FOR SPECIALIST STATUS
This week we have launched our bid to become a Specialist Technology College. Students have taken part in special assemblies and we have already made contact with numerous local partners in business and education. A copy of our publicity leaflet is being sent home to every CNS family together with a letter that explains how you can help further. All offers of assistance - large and small - will be welcome. Please could we have replies to the letter by Monday 22 January.

CHARITIES WEEK
Our Charities Week in December has already raised over £5,000 in aid of the Norwich Night Shelter. This is a superb effort and a great credit to all who organised events and participated. One popular event - 8Jo's Great Teacher Quiz - was won by Emily Knights, Ruth Sidebottom and Nicola Guffogg of Year 10. Look out for the answers in this Summer's School Magazine!

MOCK EXAMINATIONS
Mock examinations take place between 5 and 16 February for all in Year 11 and Year 13. Students should draw up their own revision programme in order that the highest standards are achieved. Timetables are now posted on the exam noticeboard and students should check all details carefully. Any queries to Mr Burns, please.

During the mocks, Year 11 and Y13 students come into school for their examinations. Study Leave is available at all other times. Normal lessons do not take place, except for Y13 Maths and PE lessons that will continue as far as possible. Routine school conventions, including correct uniform for Year 11, apply while students are at school. Study facilities will be available in school each day for those who wish to use them.
