END OF TERM
Term ends a week today, Friday 6 April, at 2.45 pm. Don't forget that Monday 23 April is a staff training day and part of the holiday for students. Lessons start on Tuesday 24 April. Students taking GCSE and A level examinations should note that there is very little time in the Summer Term before exams are under way. Study leave for Year 11 begins after school on Friday 11 May and for Year 13 students on Friday 25 May.

PREPARING FOR EXAMS
The Year 11 Parents' Evening took place on Thursday. Areas for special revision should now be clear to all students. On display during the evening were recommended Study Aids and the complete revision pack that teachers have prepared to help students in the final weeks before their GCSE exams. We wish all Year 11 students good luck over the next few weeks as they complete their courses.

YEAR 9
On Monday 2 April during period 3, there will be a presentation to Year 9 students about courses in Years 10 and 11. On Thursday 5 April at 7.30 pm in the Hall, there will be meetings for parents of Year 9 students at which the same information will be provided. Students will shortly be given Course booklets that provide full information about Key Stage 4. We hope that informed discussion and decision-making will be possible at home as a result of the two presentations next week.

The parents' evening for Year 9 will be on Thursday 26th April (in the first week back after Easter) which will give parents the opportunity to seek advice on options. Option Forms need to be handed in by Wednesday 2 May.
CHARITIES WEEK
We have received a letter from His Honour Judge Paul Downes concerning our donation to assist with the construction of the new Norwich Night Shelter. 'I write, further to our visit this morning to your Assembly, to thank you and your staff and students for the remarkable contribution towards our Appeal. As I said this morning, this is the single largest donation received from 'private' bodies and we are most grateful. Please convey to all of your students our grateful thanks.'

INSIGHT INTO THE LAW
Judge Downes adds that he would be able to arrange an insight into the workings of the court system. This would suit anyone interested in the law as an area of study or as a career. Please see Mr Boyd if you might like to take Judge Downes up on his offer.

INK FOR IT
Special bags are being distributed to students in Years 8 and 9 in order that disposable printer ink cartridges can be re-cycled. This will help with our efforts to raise funds for new IT equipment. The box into which bags can be deposited is situated in the Hall. Please help if you can.

FRENCH EXCHANGE HELP!
If any family could help by hosting one of the French teachers during the forthcoming visit (25 April to 5 May), please could you contact Mr Stone or Miss Johnson? Thank you.

SAFER AND HEALTHIER ROUTES
Overleaf, please find details of the scheme that we hope will result in a safer journey to school for all students. We will be publicising this campaign regularly over the months ahead in order to highlight the contributions that everyone can make.
