SCHOOL FETE
The Fete took place last Saturday and was extremely well attended. All who came enjoyed the variety of stalls and activities on offer and a tremendous £3414 was raised towards school funds. Thank you very much to all members of the CNSA Committee for their enthusiasm and determination that resulted in such a successful afternoon. In particular, thank you to Anne Smith and Polly Poliakoff and their families for masterminding one of the best Fetes ever.

SUMMER CONCERT
The final concert of the school year took place on Wednesday in the Performing Arts area. Some lively and entertaining performances made for a most enjoyable evening. Particularly memorable were the solo and duet performances, the percussion group and the cello pieces.

SCHOOL MEALS PRICES
The cost of a fixed price two-course school meal and the value of a Free School Meal will rise from the beginning of the Autumn Term by five pence. This means that the two course meal will cost £1.55. LIBRARY All items on loan from the Library should be returned for the annual stock check.

SPECIALIST SCHOOL STATUS
We have received many expressions of good wishes from parents, Governors, partner schools and community partners as a result of last week's news. Initial planning is now underway.

SPORTS DAY
Next Thursday 5 July is scheduled as Sports Day. Members of our PE Department are putting together the details for what will be a varied day with opportunities for all.
SIXTH FORM INDUCTION
Students who will be joining Year 12 in September will be undertaking an induction course next week. Students in Year 12 who have completed AS Levels have now embarked upon the second part (A2) of their A Level courses.

AS ART EXHIBITION
The final exhibition in this year's series took place on Wednesday. Work completed by Year 12 students for their AS examination was on display and revealed the development of students' skills and ideas through the year. Thank you to students and to the Art team for the time and trouble that have been committed to mounting the exhibitions. Your efforts have been greatly appreciated by the many visitors.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Year 10 students embark on Work Experience on Monday and will be at their various placements until Friday 13 July. If you are unable to attend work on a particular day, you need to phone the employer AND the school office. Work Experience is a vital part of the Year 10 curriculum since it offers many opportunities to put into practice skills that are learnt at school. Students will be working alongside adults in a variety of workplaces and will be expected to share some responsibility with their colleagues. Working with others, organising your own time and problem solving are amongst the key skills that will be necessary. Good luck to all in Year 10 for what is bound to be an interesting fortnight.

ACTIVITIES WEEK
Activities week commences on 9 July and continues throughout the week. All of the activities are now at the final stages of preparation and students who have queries about the details need to see their Activities leader.
