PET SHOW SUCCESS
Last Friday's CNSA Pet Show attracted a large and varied selection of rodents and reptiles as well as several cats. Many students came to watch and support: it was good to be able to welcome so many in Year 8 to their first School Association event. The categories were judged by Christine Perry and Catrina Watts of Chapelfield Veterinary Practice. We were also pleased that several unusual reptiles were on show, thanks to the 'Norfolk Herpetological Society. The Best in show was Kingsiey Amis, a beautiful half-Persian cat belonging to Charlotte Herring 9Sd. Runner up was Donna Vallis 10St with Giz & Taz, the Geckos. Thankyou to everyone who supported a very successful evening.

CNSA AGM
The School Association's Annual General Meeting is to be held next Wednesday at 7.30 in the Sixth Form Common Room. Further details are printed overleaf. If you would like to hear more about the Association and its work in support of the school, please come to the meeting and consider joining the committee. Last year, the Association raised almost £10,000 towards school - funds. It also played a significant part in the appeal fund that helped us to achieve specialist school status.

TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE
The first meeting of the specialist school management group takes place next Tuesday. The group draws together the schools and community organisations that will benefit from the resources and expertise that we will be gaining. The first in the series of periodic Technology College Newsletters will be published on the back of next week's Echo so that everyone can gain an understanding of work that is underway.
EATON ROAD
Please be considerate of others in walking to and from school. High standards of behaviour are expected from all CNS students in Eaton and around the city. This reflects well on our school.

EMERGENCY CONTACTS
Some emergency contact numbers that we have are 'blocked' business lines that do not accept some incoming calls. If this is the case, please could we have the access number so that can make contact if we have to? Please pass information to Mrs Collins in the Main Office.

MIDDAY SUPERVISORS
We still seek one additional supervisor to work during term time between 12.25 and 1.15. The duties involved could include some supervision in the School Library. Please contact Mrs Seddon for more details.

PARENT GOVERNOR NOMINATIONS
Need to be received no later than the end of school on Monday 1 October.

YEAR 11 AWARDS
We are looking forward to making special awards to high achieving students who completed their GCSEs in the Summer. Awards are in two categories: some are made for outstanding overall results; others are made to students who have considerably exceeded their minimum target grades. Awards will be made at a short presentation next Thursday evening in the School Hall. Invitations have been distributed by Mr Baker.
