THE CANTERBURY TALES
There are still a few tickets available for tonight's performance at 7.30 pm. Tickets at the door price 3. To all involved in the show : Break a leg!

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
Thank you to those parents who returned the slip indicating interest in a possible child-care arrangement at CNS. There has been sufficient interest for us to believe that the setting up of a lub may be possible. A survey will be conducted shortly in which views will be sought on how such a club might run. To be successful, it will need to be popular with students in Years 8 and 9, particularly.

QUIZ & CHIPS EVENING
This was a most enjoyable fun evening and a tremendous success in raising 680. Our sincere thanks to all involved in the organisation of this event. Details of the next CNSA fundraising event is on the back of this newsletter.

SCHOOL BANK
The HSBC School Bank is open to all existing account holders and new customers. Opening 'ime is Thursday 12.30 - 13.00 outside Room 43.

SPORTING EVENTS
The Under 19 Girls Netball team drew 13-13 in their game with the Hewett school this week. The U16 basketball team beat Thorpe St Andrews 34-4 in an exciting contest on Wednesday afternoon. On Tuesday, the U16 Girls Football team played Hewett School in the County Semi-final following a 3-0 victory against Hethersett on Tuesday. Well done to all players and also to Harry Williams and Matthew O'Brien who have made the County rugby teams for their respective age groups, U15 and U14.
CHRISTMAS LUNCH
Tickets for this ever popular event - with all the trimmings - are selling fast. Please book at the canteen.

FOREIGN MONEY
Some weeks ago we mentioned that we would be collecting European coins and notes that have become unusable because of the introduction of the Euro. A collecting box will be placed near Mrs Seddon's office in which such money can be deposited. Money collected will be exchanged by special arrangement and then used to benefit various school improvement projects. Please search at home for unwanted foreign currency and place it in the box! Many thanks for your help.

CHARITIES WEEK
Preparations for next week are well underway. Stunts and shows are being rehearsed and goodies of many kinds are being created! The focus for the week's fundraising is the SOS Bus, now established to care for young people who for whatever reason find themselves alone at night in the City Centre. In order for older students to hear more about the need for the bus, a special assembly is to take place in period I on Monday (normal lessons will not take place) for all students in Years 10, II, 12 and 13. The assembly will be in the Sports Hall. Otherwise, many thanks to Mr Uddin, Mr Carr and members of the Sixth Form committee for organising the whole week. Good fundraising!

YEAR 10 PARENTS
On the evening of Thursday 6 December, parents of Year 10 students are invited into school to meet with individual subject teachers. Letters about this have been despatched by Ms Vivers and students should be making appointments on their parents' behalf.
