YEAR 11 CHAMBER CONCERT
This is being held in the Music Drama Room on Friday 25 January at 7.30 pm. Tickets, £2 available on the door.

SOS BUS
The great success of Charities Week in December means that already over £6000 has been banked in aid of the SOS Bus. The last date for handing in sponsorship money is 31 January 2002. On Friday morning this week we are delighted to be able to hand over an initial cheque to the organisers of the Bus. We know this will be put to immediate use in maintaining this vital service to young people over the next few months. We gather that with our contribution this week, CNS will become one of the major sources of funding for the service. Everyone involved in fundraising should feel proud of this significant achievement.

TABLE TOP SALE
The sale takes place on Saturday morning in the Sixth Form/Dining Room area of the school. Many parents have offered their support and the morning promises to be a successful new venture. Please do come along to support. Any further details about the sale can be obtained by ringing Sarah Scott on Norwich 505720
GOVERNORS' ANNUAL REPORT
This year, the Annual Report will be produced in the Autumn, alongside the School Prospectus. The associated Annual Parents' Meeting will also be held at that time. However, Governors do not want to lose the opportunity of meeting parents on 23 May 2002, the date originally set for the Annual Meeting. Therefore, this meeting will still take place : further details in the Summer term.

YEAR 11 SCIENCE GCSE
Any student who wishes to resit the Year 10 GCSE Science Paper needs to register their intention with Dr Knott by the end of next week, Friday 25 January 2002.

YEAR 8 PARENTS
We were pleased to be able to welcome parents of Year 8 students into school on Thursday evening. Much useful discussion took place that will ensure continued progress by students over the second half of Year 8. Please let you son or daughter's tutor know (through a note in the Planner) if you would like to discuss issues further. If any Year 8 parent is interested in supporting our attempt to launch an After School Club initiative who has not yet let us know, please contact Janet Shrimpling on 274007.

YEAR 11 MOCKS
All Year 11 students will be on Study Leave from Monday with normal lessons resuming on Monday 4 February. We wish all students good luck in the mocks! They represent an important opportunity to prepare for the final exams in the Summer Term. Guidance in various forms, including a specially prepared Revision Booklet, will be available once mocks are complete. Parents who would like further advice on how to help with revision should contact Mrs Collard or Ms Bushell.
