YEAR 11 PHOTOGRAPH
A group photograph of all Year 11 will be taken on 19 February at 1.15pm in the Sports Hall. Full uniform is required.

KS 4 OPTIONS
A letter will be sent home this week inviting parents of Year 9 students to attend a short introduction to the Key Stage Four course. The meeting, that is principally for parents, will take place on Thursday 21 February at 7.30pm in the Hall. A separate presentation for students will be given earlier in the same week.

YEAR 10 WORK EXPERIENCE
A letter concerning Work Experience - that takes place for Year 10 students between 1 and 12 July - has been sent home recently. Students have until 22 February to return parental consent forms and medical details. Any questions about Work Experience should be addressed to Miss Wind.

EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBERS
It is essential that we have a contact number to reach parents in an emergency. If you have a block on your telephone we would ask you to arrange for the school number to be accepted, or provide the school with a code or an alternative number.

UNIFORM SURVEY
Following assemblies this week led by the School Council, all students in Years 8, 9 and 10 will be able to complete a survey on possible improvements to our school uniform. The survey will be completed in form time on Monday morning, 18 February 2002.

HALF TERM
Friday is a Staff Development Day. We resume on Monday 18 February after the Half Term break.
CNS ASSOCIATION
The next event will be a Quiz & Chips Evening on Saturday 9 March at 7.30 pm. You can book a table for eight or join with others to make up a team. More details after half-term.

EQUIPMENT FOR SCHOOLS
You can support the school by registering with your Sainsbury's Reward Card for extra points for the school towards free equipment. All details and form to complete overleaf.

HELP IN THE COMMUNITY
Well done Donna Vallis 10St for running sign language sessions for Community Wardens to enable them to be more effective in their roles in the local community.

SAFER JOURNEYS TO SCHOOL
Our involvement in this project is helping to persuade local councillors that there should be some improvement to the flow of traffic in Eaton Road. To complete our School Travel Plan - an important part of the project - we need as many parents as possible to complete and return to us a simple survey. These will be despatched shortly and your assistance will be much appreciated.

ACADEMIC REVIEW DAY : 1 MARCH
During the day, each student - and their parents, if possible - will have an appointment with his or her Tutor. The aim of the interview is to discuss general issues regarding progress. Tutors will be able to discuss overall progress and, if necessary, will be able to pass on any detailed subject concerns, in the usual manner. All students - unless otherwise arranged - will come in for their individual appointment only. Normal lessons will not take place on 1 March.
