ACADEMIC REVIEW
DAY This takes place next Friday 1 March. Unless otherwise notified,
students should come in to school for their appointment only. Normal lessons do
not take place on 1 March. The aim of the day is for each student with his or
her tutor - and parents, if possible (except for Y13) - to review overall
progress. Detailed queries about individual subjects can be taken up with
subject teachers - either at Parents' evenings or individually- as usual.
THE BOYFRIEND

YEAR 10 BCG VACCINATIONS
Skin tests will take place in school on the mornings of 12
and 14 March. BCGs will be carried out on 19 and 21 March. Consent forms will
be issued to students via form tutors. Please complete and return to the school
office as soon as possible. Any year 11s who missed last years' vaccinations
will be issued a consent form.
KEY STAGE 4 OPTIONS This
week, Year 9 students and their parents have been given information about
courses for Year 10 and 11. We aim to offer a broad and balanced education
based on the National Curriculum and various extensions.
Choices Forms
will be issued towards the end of term and must be returned to Tutors by 15
April. The timescale allows parents and students the opportunity to consider
the best pathway and to consult with subject teachers (at the Parents' Evening
on 11 April). |
NATIONAL SCHOOLWEAR

FREE
SCHOOL MEALS
Your child will be eligible for free school meals if you
are in receipt of Income support or Income-based Job Seekers Allowance
(JSA-IB). Please ask for an application form from the school office if needed.
A good variety of meals is on offer - packed lunches as well as cooked meals
with vegetarian options are available.
THEFTS FROM SCHOOL
There has been a recent spate of thefts from school and
from local properties in Eaton Road. The crimes have been opportunistic :
valuables such as mobile phones, cash or expensive bicycles that have been left
unattended have been snatched. We liaise routinely with the Police about all of
these incidents and continually seek to improve our security arrangements. The
simple message for us all, however, is that valuables should be safeguarded and
should not be brought to school unless absolutely necessary. It is important
that we do not offer any temptation for thieves.
QUIZ AND CHIPS
The next CNSA event will be a Quiz and Chips night on 9 March in the
School Hall. These events are always popular and early booking is advised.
Please place your reservation with Zoe Shippey on Norwich 250840.
PARENTS' TRAVEL SURVEY These can now be accepted until
