LONG SERVICE AWARDS
In July, CNS marked the retirement of three' long serving members of staff, Mr and Mrs Stannard and Mrs Freeburn. Presentations were made and best wishes expressed at the Final Assembly by Katherine Fletcher, Sarah Spooner, Simon Billett and Claire Rymarz.

CONGRATULATIONS
The improved arrangements that promote 'Success for All at CNS' have been implemented swiftly and smoothly. Congratulations to almost all students in Years 8 to 11 who have responded positively to our clear expectations. The standards of organisation, appearance and learning have been high and bode well for an excellent year.

This follows on from the news that CNS students achieved their best ever GCSE results this Summer. 97% of last year's Year 11 achieved at least five passes and 69% achieved at least five higher grades. These results are thoroughly well deserved and arise from students meeting their target grades (MTGs) in most of their subjects. Good luck to new Year 11 students as they aim for similar success.
SPECIAL YEAR 11 PARENTS' MEETING Parents of all Year 11 students should have received details of this meeting to be held on Thursday 12 September at 7.30.

UNIFORM
John Lewis has notified us that further supplies of small CNS polo shirts will arrive in store next week, and further CNS fleeces will arrive the following week.

LOST PROPERTY
All clothing and footwear should be clearly marked with the student's name. If you think you may have lost an item of clothing or equipment at school, please enquire at the main school office. Iterns held in lost property will be kept for a period of three months after which unclaimed items will be passed to the CNSA for their second hand uniform sale.

COURSEWORK DEADLINE FOR DT
All Year 11 students must have completed the Research, Analysis, Specification and Design ideas for the coursework project by Monday 9 September. Please ensure that it is handed in to your DT teacher. The next deadline is 23 September for the development of Ideas. Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes guidance and advice is available to support students in room 71. The time of the regular catchup session will be published next week. Thank you, parents, for your continued support. Carol Dallas, Curriculum Area Manager for Technology
