FAITH OR FICTION
Is there a God? Why are we here? Do all Christians wear socks and sandals? These are just a few of the questions that you can ask if you come on Wednesday 26 February at lunchtime in Room 2. The Christian Union will be there with some other people to try and answer any questions you may have. Everyone is welcome.

ROBOT WARS
CNS was successful with two teams in the Robot Wars competition. The winners will be announced in assembly after half term. The winners will be making their own robot with the help and funding from our sponsoring engineering company.

ROAD SAFETY
We remind students of the importance of their safety to and from school and ask students to take care, to behave in a sensible safe way, and show respect to other road users and pedestrians.

“THREE SISTERS”
The Upper School production of Chekhov’s “Three Sisters” will be performed at CNS on 27, 28 February and Saturday 1 March in the School Hall. Tickets will be on sale in the Hall from 12.45 to 1pm daily, price £3.50.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD
The next scheduled meetings for those involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme are on 20 February and 7 March, compass bearings with treasure hunt. Meetings are held in Room 28 2.45 to 3.45pm. Further details from Mrs Maddocks.

YEAR 12 FINANCE DAY
It was good to be able to welcome to CNS on Wednesday several visitors from a range of companies and organisations. The theme of the day was ‘personal finance’ and how to manage your own resources. Year 12 students participated with enthusiasm and learnt a lot. Thanks to Mr Green, Mr Boyce and the SVE team for planning the event.
YEAR 10 CHAMBER CONCERT
A mixed programme – classical piano, electric violin, singing, clarinet and keyboards – was performed by Year 10 GCSE musicians on Wednesday evening. Performances were recorded for assessment against GCSE standards. Thank you to all who performed and to Dr Ranyard and Miss Ward for their accompaniment and support.

CNSA QUIZ & CHIPS
Book a table with your friends for CNSA's Quiz and Chips on Saturday 8 March at 7.30pm. Tickets (includes fish & chips) cost £5.50 for an adult and £3.50 for a student. Up to 8 on a table. Book early to avoid disappointment. Ring Zoë on 250840. Students welcome. Look out for further details in the next Echo.

YEAR 9 TO 10
Students and parents of Year 9 were given information on Thursday about Key Stage Four courses. Guidance over the next few weeks will be provided by Tutors, Ms Webb and Mrs Smith. Year 9 Reports will be sent home on Friday 28 March prior to a parents’ evening on 3 April. Options Forms (that will be issued with Reports) need to be returned to Tutors by 9 April. Further copies of the Key Stage Four Courses booklet can be requested from Mrs Collard, Key Stage Four Coordinator.
