FROM CAN TO CONSUMER
On 17 March a group of eight Year 12 Business students attended a business activity day organised by Business Dynamics and Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd at Norwich City Football Club. The group were given a brief on devising a new product for the soft drinks market. Professional advice was available from business managers. The students worked very successfully in collaboration with students from Earlham Sixth Form during what was a very worthwhile and enjoyable day.

COMIC RELIEF
Our non-uniform and bad hair day on Friday last week raised £755.08 for Comic Relief. The involvement of so many students and staff was good to see and the money raised has been sent off to assist with the various projects that are supported by Comic Relief.

NORWICH EXCELLENCE PARTNERSHIP
CNS belongs to this new partnership that exists to support students in Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 in South West Norwich. The official opening of the 'Excellence Centre' adjacent to Earlham High School took place last Friday and included performances by students from local primary schools as well as by students from Earlham HS, Notre Dame and CNS. Our Year 10 group 'The Band' helped to entertain the guests.

INTERNATIONAL SITUATION IN IRAQ
Our thoughts are with those whose family members are involved in the conflict, whether in the armed forces or as residents in the Gulf region. Over the past weeks, issues surrounding the worsening situation have featured in Assemblies and lessons. Our Amnesty International Group has drawn to our attention the potential consequences for individuals. Participation by students in out-of-school vigils or demonstrations can only be sanctioned as a result of express parental permission. Please would parents be aware that these events are not sponsored by or supervised by CNS or by Norfolk LEA?

MOTORBIKE COURSE
A popular and successful element of our Study Support programme came to an end this week. Several students in Year 10 have participated in the programme and have learnt the basics of bike maintenance and - under close supervision - operation. Well done to all those involved in completing the course.
