HALF TERM
The half-term break begins after school today, Friday 23rd October. School resumes at 8.45 am on Tuesday 3rd November. Monday 2nd November is a staff training day and will deal with issues which have arisen from the OFSTED inspection.

YEAR 11
There will be a meeting for Year 11 students and their parents on Thursday 5th November at 7.30 pm, starting in the Hall, at which Sixth Form courses will be presented. After a short introductory address, there will be the opportunity to visit subject departments in the school and to talk to staff and to students who are presently undertaking A level and GNVQ courses. Please note that the meeting is in the first week back after half term.

ANTI-RACISM GROUP
The video 'Black and White' will be shown in Room 43 at 1.00 pm on Tuesday 3rd November, the first day back after half term. The video shows the contrasting experiences of two journalists, one black and one white, as they look for accommodation and jobs in the city of Bristol, equipped with their own hidden video cameras. The video showing is open to all students.

BULB PLANTING: EATON PARK
As part of the Heritage Lottery Fund Norwich Parks Project, 48,000 bulbs are to be planted in Eaton Park next Sunday, 25th October, from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm. Planting will take place in he Pine Shrubbery behind the Rose Garden and the City Council hopes that a large number of people will turn up to take part. You are advised to wear comfortable clothes (including a raincoat) and stout shoes and are asked to bring a trowel if you can..
OFSTED INSPECTION
Mr Roy Hedge, the Registered Inspector, has asked the Echo to convey the thanks of all the Inspectors to those students and staff who have helped them during the week and to the many parents who completed the questionnaire which forms part of the inspection schedule. CNS thanks the Inspectors for the courtesy and sensitivity which they have shown in carrying out the inspection. The final written report will be published in a few weeks' time, but staff will know of the key findings late today. The draft report will be communicated to Governors at 7.00 pm on Monday 9th November.

LOST
Katie Haniford of 11Sn left a black notebook (with a black elastic band around the cover) in computer room 62 last week. It has notes for coursework: if you find it, please return it to Katie in Room 3.
