YEAR 11
Lessons for Year 11 end at 3.25 pm today: next week there are foreign language oral exams and written exams begin on Monday 24th May. The Sixth Form induction programme runs from 28th-30th June. Best wishes to those who are leaving CNS- and success to everyone in the coming exams.

ANTI-RACISM
Mr Neville Lawrence, whose son Stephen was killed in a racist attack and whose killers have not yet been brought to justice, visited CNS on Monday. Mr Lawrence spoke movingly to a large audience in the Hall and continued with a discussion with a smaller group afterwards.

Thanks to Mrs Twynham who arranged the visit- and to Mr Lawrence and his colleagues for visiting CNS. We are determined to take a stand against anybody who discriminates against minority groups and Mr Lawrence's visit has strengthened our resolve.

MUSIC AND DANCE
Congratulations to Christian Revell of 9Kt who has won his way through to the National Final of the Technics Music Academy. Christian will now be competing against keyboard and organ players from all over Britain at the ICC in Birmingham and is hoping to win a trip to the World Festival in New York.

And on Sunday 2nd May, CNS students, Ellie Bibb, Harriet Burrell, Naomi Denchfield, Martina Gristwood, Nicola Ramsden, Emily Rayner, Michelle Taylor and Holly Trutch, members of 'Dance Express' opened a 'Stars in their Eyes' show, hosted by Cheryl Baker, at her Majesty's Theatre in London.
GOVERNORS
The Governors' Annual Report to Parents was issued to students yesterday to take home to parents. The report will be discussed at the meeting at 7.30 pm on Thursday 27th May, for which an agenda has been provided with the report. The election of Mr Andrew Earl, Mrs Diane Whalen and Mr Gareth Phillips to the governing body has now been confirmed.

SPORT
The U15 Cricket team are Norfolk champions, beating KES, Kings Lynn in the final and the U14 cricket team reached the final of the Lords Taverners' Cup, having earlier beaten Gresham's School, before losing to Norwich School. Congratulations to both teams- and to Jemma Roche who has been selected to play for the Norfolk U15 girls' basketball team at Northampton this weekend.
