YEAR 11
The Academic Review Day for Year 11 takes place on Wednesday week, 15th December. Parents have received a letter and have been asked to indicate preferred times. Students will receive the times of the interviews next week. Students will have study leave for the day and will only be required to attend school for the review meeting. They should be wearing school uniform and may come in for the Christmas lunch if they so wish.

MILLENNIUM
During January, all students and members of staff will be asked to sign a book which will record the names of all who are part of the school at the start of the millennium.

Students at the Art College have been commissioned to produce some prints of the school: this has been made possible through a generous donation by the parents of some former CNS students. The CNS Union hopes that donations from former students will allow for the purchase of the 'Running Boy' statue which is at present on view in the Hall and Miss O'Brien and the magazine committee are producing an anthology of creative writing which has been taken from school magazines since 1910. These projects are not exclusive: any other ideas will be welcomed.

FIVES
Congratulations to Peter Brooks and Daniel Beier of Year 12, winners of the plate competition in the London Tournament organised by the Eton Fives Association last weekend: City of Norwich School beat City of London School in the final!

D of E WALK
Nineteen Year 10 students, accompanied by Dr Knott, Mr Martin and Mrs Taylor, completed an eight-mile practice walk for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme last weekend. The weather was excellent, the behaviour of the students was exemplary and a good day was had by all, in spite of a few blisters.

CHRISTMAS CARDS
Don't forget to buy a pack of the excellent Christmas cards which have been produced by the school to support the Stephen Lawrence Trust and Amnesty International. The cards cost £1 for ten, including envelopes and are on sale in Room 43 during registration, the Hall at break and the tuckshop at breaks and lunchtimes.
